Welcome to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

Our parish is a Catholic community of almost 2,600 families located in Tyler, Texas. We are blessed with two magnificent churches that together form one vibrant parish, the Cathedral itself and the Chapel of Sts. Peter & Paul.

As Blessed Pope John Paul II said in his first Encyclical Letter, Redemptor Hominis, “…the Church's fundamental function in every age, and particularly in ours, is to direct man's gaze, to point the awareness and experience of the whole of humanity toward the mystery of Christ.”

In this spirit, the mission of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is to be a compassionate and faith-filled Catholic Christian community that lives the Gospel message through worship, education, spiritual development, and to service to others. In so doing, we become examples of God's love and compassion.
